If you've dropped your laptop—or dropped something on it—and the screen has fractured, the chances are that the screen can be fixed by replacing the LCD dispaly.

If your display problems aren't the result of visible physical damage then the problem may not be the LCD display. If your screen's backlight flickers, shuts down after a few minutes of usage, or doesn't come on at all, but you can still see a faint screen image, your problem may be whats known as the inverter, a small board that supplies power to the backlight, or the backlight itself (a small lamp that creates the brightness of the screen). The good news is that these are all fixable, your Computerpoint engiineer will be able to diagnose and give you a quotation before anywork is actually carried out.

In some cases the issue could be with your laptop's motherboard or video circuitry, not the LCD or inverter.
